A Murder Is Announced
A "Who done it" by Agatha Christie, adapted for stage by Leslie Darbon
Adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, Agatha Christie's "A Murder is Announced"
first opened in London at the Vaudeville Theatre in September 1977.
The story is considered one of the classics of detective fiction and Christie fans
will also recognise it as the first of the Miss Marple series of mysteries to be
adapted for television. In adapting the book for the stage Leslie Darbon has
given this murder mystery added strength through its humour - it is a delight to watch.
